the golden dragon standard (황룡기) was the flag personally used by the emperor of the korean empire when inspecting his troops.
the original artifact is believed to have been a large silk banner measuring approximately 260.6 × 170.4 cm, with a golden dragon hand-painted onto silk.

for this edc8ang edition, we assumed the original colors had naturally faded over time.
based on that interpretation,

we selected a fabric with a silk-like tone and created a small 8.5 × 7 cm patch with a subtle warm orange hue, echoing the aged appearance of the historic banner.
