Joseon Gwimyeon Face Eye Patch: Glow-in-the-Dark Edition

본 패치는 조선시대 사찰의 기둥 상부나 기와, 문고리 등에서 발견되는
귀면(도깨비)의 눈매를 소재로 삼았습니다.

This patch takes its motif from the fierce eyes of the Gwimyeon (monster/goblin) found on temple pillars, roof tiles, and door knockers from the Chosun Dynasty.

'사각지대 없는 벽사(辟邪)의 시선'
부릅뜬 눈은 모든 방향에서 오는 액운을 살피고 물리친다는 전통적 의미를 담고 있습니다.
왼쪽, 오른쪽, 그리고 정면을 매섭게 응시하여 사방을 경계합니다.

"The Unblindfolded Gaze of Exorcism"
The wide-open, staring eyes carry the traditional meaning of watching for and dispelling bad luck from every direction. They glare sharply to the left, right, and front to guard all four quarters.

야광사의 물리적 한계로 축광이 오래 지속되진 못하지만,
낮은 조도에서 드러나는 야광 도깨비는 원본 유물에는 없는 특별함을 제공합니다.

Due to the physical limitations of glow-in-the-dark thread, the phosphorescence does not last long; however, the glowing monster emerging in low light offers a unique charm not present in the original artifact.
