Joseon Navy Training Painting – Flagship (Wonsu)

This embroidered patch by edc8ang reinterprets the Flagship (“Wonsu” / 元帥) from the Joseon Navy Training Painting, a historical artwork preserved at the National Maritime Museum of Korea.
Depicted at the center of the original folding screen, the flagship bears the command banner inscribed with “Wonsu,” meaning Supreme Commander.
Sized at 8.5 x 7 cm, it’s a compact piece suitable for use as an EDC tactical patch.

Compared to other edc8ang patches of the same size, this design contains approximately 10,000 additional stitches, resulting in an exceptionally dense and intricate texture.
Every one of the over 100 crew members aboard the flagship has been faithfully represented in thread.
