본 패치는 1941년 김구 선생이 벨기에 출신 
신부에게 준 ‘김구 서명문 태극기’ 유물을 바탕으로 제작되었습니다.
당시 선생은 해외 한인들에게 광복군 지원을 호소하며 
태극기 바탕에 친필로 광복을 향한 강한 의지를 새겼습니다.

"An Immortal Appeal for Freedom and Happiness"
This patch is based on the 'Kim Gu Signed Taegukgi,' 
a historical artifact that Kim Gu gave to a Belgian priest 
in 1941. At that time, Kim Gu inscribed his unwavering 
will for independence directly onto the flag, appealing 
to overseas Koreans to support the Liberation Army. 
EDC8ANG has recreated that fiery spirit 
of independence as a compact patch through 
the modern medium of embroidery.

The handwriting of Kim Gu that fills the white space 
of the flag contains a solemn determination. 
His message—"If you wish to escape the sorrow 
of a lost nation, dedicate your energy, manpower, 
and resources to the Liberation Army

even in the face of adversity.
