'진관사 태극기(보물 제2122호): 일장기 위에 덧그린 항일의 기록'
본 패치는 2009년 서울 진관사 칠성각 해체 보수 과정 중 
벽면 안쪽에서 발견된 유물을 바탕으로 제작되었습니다.

'억압을 뚫고 나온 "대한독립만세"
말과 이름조차 빼앗겼던 고난의 시기,
목숨을 걸고 태극기를 그려냈던 
이름 모를 독립운동가들의 마음을 담았습니다.

'원본의 질감과 정신을 잇는 재해석'
원본이 가진 거칠지만 힘 있는 먹선의 느낌과 
사용의 흔적을 자수 기법으로 구현했습니다.
기계적인 완벽함보다 원본이 가진 투박하고도 
강렬한 에너지를 온전한 모양으로 살렸습니다.

'압도적인 밀도와 묵직한 존재감'
수만 번의 정교한 바느질(Stitch)이 만들어낸 
단단한 조직감은 EDC8ANG의 시그니처입니다.

Jingwansa Taegukgi (太極旗) Embroidery Patch
'The Jingwansa Taegukgi (Treasure No. 2122): A Record of Resistance Overlaid on the Japanese Flag'
This patch is based on the historic artifact discovered in 2009 inside a wall during the dismantling and restoration of Chilseonggak Shrine at Jingwansa Temple in Seoul.

"Long Live Korean Independence!" Rising Above Oppression
Captured within this design is the spirit of nameless independence activists who risked their lives to draw the Taegukgi during a time of suffering when even their language and names were taken away.

A Reinterpretation Connecting the Original Texture and Spirit
We have used embroidery techniques to recreate the rough yet powerful ink lines and traces of use found on the original flag. Rather than mechanical perfection, we focused on preserving the raw and intense energy of the historical prototype in its complete form.

Overwhelming Density & Heavy Presence
The solid, high-density texture created by tens of thousands of elaborate stitches is the signature of EDC8ANG.
